Masonic motorcycle ride for autism raises $1,200

RIDING FOR AUTISM — Heather Wheaton, Penquis Autism Community Services program manager, accepts a $1,200 check from representatives of the Widow Sons Temple Guard on Sept. 29 at Penquis’ Dover-Foxcroft office. The Widow Sons Temple Guard, a Masonic motorcycle group, hosted the North Woods Loop Ride for Autism on Sept. 10 as Masonic motorcycle groups from all corners of Maine traveled from Dover-Foxcroft to Milo and LaGrange and then to Charleston for a barbecue hosted by Olive Branch #124 A.F. & A.M. Nearly 50 motorcycles were part of the procession, and organizers hope to make the ride an annual event to benefit various charities.
