RIDING FOR AUTISM — Heather Wheaton, Penquis Autism Community Services program manager, accepts a $1,200 check from representatives of the Widow Sons Temple Guard on Sept. 29 at Penquis’ Dover-Foxcroft office. The Widow Sons Temple Guard, a Masonic motorcycle group, hosted the North Woods Loop Ride for Autism on Sept. 10 as Masonic motorcycle groups from all corners of Maine traveled from Dover-Foxcroft to Milo and LaGrange and then to Charleston for a barbecue hosted by Olive Branch #124 A.F. & A.M. Nearly 50 motorcycles were part of the procession, and organizers hope to make the ride an annual event to benefit various charities. Pictured with Wheaton from the Widow Sons Temple Guard are, from left, Dennis Dyer, Secretary Tom Boone and President Jef “Wyzyrd” Hamlin.
