Nunsense auditions at Center Theatre June 17 and 21

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Center Theatre and the Slightly Off-Center Players announce auditions for the upcoming production of “Nunsense” written by Dan Goggin. This hilarious production is being performed by an all-female cast, ranging in ages from the late teens to seniors. “Nunsense” will be directed by Derrick Buschmann with musical direction by Deb Fournier.

The show will open at the Center Theatre on Friday, Aug. 11 and run for two weekends. For the first time, the Center Theatre will then take the summer show on the road with two performances at the Greenville High School stage on Saturday, Aug. 26.

Auditions will be held at the Center Theatre on Saturday, June 17 from 4-6 p.m. and Wednesday, June 21 from 4-6 p.m. Anyone interested in auditioning who can’t make those scheduled times should contact the Center Theatre by calling 564-8943.

Patrick Myers, the Center Theatre’s executive director, is excited to see this production hit the stage, “This show is very well known people are excited to see it live here in Piscataquis County,” he said. “Those who are interested in auditioning should come prepared with an a cappella singing piece and will be asked to read lines from the script as well.”

Myers also states that anyone interested in getting involved behind the scenes can also drop in during auditions or contact the theatre.
