Track and field results

The outdoor track and field teams from both Dexter and Greenville kicked off the season on April 20 with a meet at Brewer.

The Dexter boys scored 36 points to place seventh in a field of 11 schools.

Brandon Allen was the meet runner-up in the triple jump as he finished with a top distance of 38 feet, 7.5 inches. He also came in third in both the high and long jumps at 5-06 and 19-05. Allen anchored the fourth-place 4×100 relay team as Anthony Woods, Dillion Allen, Jason Campbell and Allen combined for a time of 51.94 seconds.

Christopher Roderka finished third in the 3,200 with a time of 11 minutes, 23.57 seconds. He anchored the fourth place 4×800 relay squad, following Isaiah Hesseltine, Dillion Allen and Jacob Hesseltine as the four Tigers finished in 10:27.10.

Sean Lockhart added a fifth-place throw in the javelin at 109-03.

The boys from Greenville finished eighth at Brewer with a score of 23 points.

Devin Boone placed second in the discus at 128-05, and he was also third in the shot put at exactly 43 feet.

The Lakers’ Noah Pratt came in fourth in the 1,600 with a time of 5:10.03.
Ben Baldwin was fourth and sixth in the 100 and 200 with respective times of 12.53 and 25.97 seconds.

In the girls’ meet, Dexter recorded 19 points to place sixth among 10 point-scoring teams.

Danielle and Lily Cummings had a hand in all 19 Tiger points. The two were third and fourth in the 200 as Danielle Cummings ran a time of 28.23 seconds and Lily Cummings posted a time of 29.99 seconds. The two were fourth and sixth in the 100 as Danielle Cummings crossed the line in 13.83 seconds and Lily Cummings did likewise in 14.50 seconds.

The Dexter 4×100 relay team, Erin Bache, Rebecca Batron and Lily and Danielle Cummings, was fourth at 57.12 seconds.
