Letter: Supports Boothroyd for Senate

To the Editor;

Election Day is fast approaching and it is time to head out and vote for real change.  I will be doing that by voting for Carole Boothroyd for Maine State Senate, District 4.  Carole has been endorsed by the Maine Education Association, the Maine Peoples Alliance, Maine AFL-CIO, Maine Veterans for Democrats, Maine Sierra Club, Professional Firefighters of Maine and Equality Maine.

Carole Boothroyd is running against incumbent Senator Paul Davis. If you want to see better scores on the Maine Conservation Voters 2016 Environmental Scorecard and the Maine AFL-CIO scoreboard, Carole Boothroyd is the best candidate.  She is a retired science teacher and is well aware of what needs to be done to help safeguard our environment and will represent workers and their families in Augusta.

Carole Boothroyd is not one to just give lip service.  She is a person of action not just words.  I have seen how hard she has worked on her campaign.  Starting off by gathering enough signatures to qualify for the Maine Clean Election Fund; not an easy task in such a rural area in a short amount of time.  Going door to door in all of Piscataquis County, parts of Penobscot and Somerset counties to talk with residents and to listen to what their concerns are.  She has worked tirelessly and will do the same for you as your senator in Augusta.

It is well past the time for some new blood and fresh ideas in District 4 and a vote for Carole Boothroyd for State Senate will do just that.
