AUTHOR VISIT

Josh Alves, a Maine author and cartoonist, came to the Piscataquis Elementary School Library in Guilford on Oct. 3 to give interactive presentations to all students about the creative writing process. He showcased his books to include “Lilly Bristol Dinosaur Wrangler” and the “Zeke the Meek” series for which he did the illustrations. More information about Alves is at www.joshalves.com.
His visit was funded from the award that Librarian Charlotte E. Violette received from the Maine Association of School Libraries as the 2016 Support Staff of the Year.
