Pony X-C runs at Old Town sectionals

OLD TOWN — The Foxcroft Academy cross country team took part in the 67th annual Old Town Invitational on Sept. 24.

The Pony boys placed 11th with a score of 270 points. Sophomore Nicholas Daneman was the team’s top runner. Daneman covered the 3.1 miles in 20 minutes, 24.43 seconds to finish 41st in a field of 80.

Senior William Casey placed 55th at 21:35.16 and coming in 67th was junior Kazuyuki Kawashima at 22:35.72. Senior Ethan Poland finished 70th at 23:21.18 and sophomore Yuseok Ko rounded out the Foxcroft top five in 73rd place at 24:57.56. Senior Max Santagata came in 76th at 25:56.51.

Junior Jordan Thomas ran in the girls’ varsity race. Thomas placed 36th out of 73 entrants with a time of 23:55.40.
