BAR HARBOR — A pair of residents from the region ran in the 39th annual Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Half Marathon on Sept. 17. Rico Portalatin, 45 of Milo, covered the 13.1 miles in a time of 1 hour, 22 minutes and 14 seconds to finish sixth out of 313 entrants.
Gayle Peirce, 56 of Exeter, ran a time of 2:07.04 to place 162nd.
