FA set to celebrate Homecoming

DOVER-FOXCROFT — School has been back in session for close to a month. The sounds of students walking the halls, debating in class and performing on the athletic fields are being noticed every day of the week. The week of Sept. 26 is extra special at Foxcroft Academy because it’s Homecoming Week 2016.

All week Foxcroft Academy has special events planned for students around campus during and after school. The sports teams are all in action throughout the week. Spirit Days are planned for each day and plans are being made for class floats in this year’s Homecoming parade. Following the parade, a pep rally will see which class in the school has the most school spirit.

The schedule is as follows: Monday, Sept. 26 boys soccer vs. Hermon 4 p.m.; Tuesday, Sept. 27 girls soccer vs. Hermon 4 p.m.; Thursday, Sept. 29 field hockey vs. Mattanawcook 4 p.m. and Homecoming parade at 6:30 p.m. with pep rally to follow in gym; Friday, Sept. 30 Foxcroft Academy Athletic Hall of Fame dinner and induction 5 p.m. and  football vs. Hermon 7 p.m.

Following the football game, there is a Homecoming dance for students hosted by the student council. All proceeds will be donated to former school employee Sue Maloney, as she dealing with several personal tragedies in her life.
