Three Rivers Kiwanis Sebec River Canoe/Kayak Race results
The Three Rivers Kiwanis held its annual Sebec River Canoe/Kayak Race on Saturday, July 23 with paddlers starting near the Reading Room in Sebec Village and ending at Veterans Park in Milo.

JUST ABOUT THERE — Laurie and Michael Sproul near the finish line by Veterans Park in Milo during the Three Rivers Kiwanis Sebec River Canoe/Kayak Race on July 23. The two had the second best time of the day, one hour and 21 minutes, traveling from Sebec Village to Milo.
Lori and Barry Dana, in a MaCKRO Class IV recreational canoe, were the first to finish in a time of one hour, 18 minutes. Next were Laurie and Michael Sproul in a MaCKRO Class III racing canoe at one hour and 21 minutes, and in third place was Dan Baumert in a MaCKRO Class I racing kayak at one hour and 22 minutes.
The racers enjoyed donuts and coffee donated by Dunkin’ Donuts of Milo before the race and sandwiches donated by Subway in Dover-Foxcroft after the race. Three Rivers Kiwanis provided the beverages, fruit salad and dessert. Each racer was given a T-shirt with all the race sponsors listed on the back.
The Piscataquis Amateur Radio Club and the Milo Fire Department were on hand to help out in case of emergencies. Kiwanis officials said it was a beautiful day and everyone had a great time.
