GUILFORD — Friends of Community Fitness held its 11th annual Fitness 5K, as part of the Piscataquis River Festival, on the morning of July 30 with the following results (this year entrants ran the course in the opposite direction against traffic); 1. Dawson Smith age 15, 21 minutes, 41 seconds; 2. Brendan Sullivan 39, 21:54; 3. Brendan Labarre 23:09; 4. Brenda White 48, 23:30; 5. Joe Neal 12, 23:54; 6. John Lemieux 71, 24:09; 7. FIT TO RUN A 5K Over 30 entrants took part in Friends of Community Fitness’ 11th annual Fitness 5K on July 30 as part of Guilford’s Piscataquis River Festival. This year’s race featured a reverse course, with runners traveling against traffic to Hudson Avenue, into Sangerville and back to the downtown athletic fields via the Guilford Memorial River Walk.
