Wallace to discuss railroads of Dexter on July 28

DEXTER — The Dexter Historical Society is sponsoring a talk about town railroads on Thursday, July 28 at 6 p.m. at the Abbott Museum, 12 Church Street, by resident Leonard Wallace. Wallace will be discussing Dexter’s upper station, completed about 1889, and he will also discuss the railroad station at Silver’s Mills. He will feature recently completed dioramas of each station.

The talk is free and open to the public and Wallace will answer questions from the public. Two years ago Wallace gave a talk on Dexter’s lower station and exhibited a scale model of that station and the surrounding area.

The Abbott Museum is located across from the Bud’s Shop n’ Save parking lot.
