PCEDC director joins EMDC board

BANGOR — The Eastern Maine Development Corporation (EMDC) welcomes Piscataquis County Economic Development Council Executive Director (PEDC) Christopher Winstead to its board of directors. EMDC is a private nonprofit economic development organization focused on business, community and workforce development.

Prior to joining PCEDC, Winstead served as a senior district representative for then Rep. Michael H. Michaud (D-Maine) with a concentration on business and economic development. He worked to connect Maine communities, businesses and non-profits with federal, state and private sector resources.

Winstead has a diverse background beyond the political arena. He started his career in the banking industry and worked for two local banks in branch administration and lending. Winstead understands the importance of lending in expanding growth and opportunities for local businesses.
