Davis selected to participate in ASRT Student Leadership Development Program

GUILFORD — Courtney Davis, a radiologic technology student at Kennebec Valley Community College in Fairfield, has been selected to participate in the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) 2016 Student Leadership Development Program.

The ASRT represents more than 153,000 members who perform medical imaging procedures or plan and deliver radiation therapy treatments. The society also provides radiologic technology students with the tools, services and support they need to prepare for careers in medical imaging and radiation therapy.

Davis will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the 2016 ASRT Educational Symposium and Governance and House of Delegates Meeting June 23-26, in Las Vegas. In addition, she will attend educational courses specifically designed for students, attend the House of Delegates meetings and be assigned a professional mentor.

Davis was one of 99 radiologic science students from around the country chosen to participate in the program. She is the daughter of Tony and Patti Davis of Guilford and a graduate of Piscataquis Community High School.

“Congratulations! It is my fervent hope that this experience will mark the beginning of a long and productive relationship with your national professional organization, the ASRT,” said ASRT President Sandra Hayden.
