Piscataquis County Democrats to hold regional caucuses

 

The Piscataquis County Democratic Committee announced plans to hold a series of three regional presidential caucuses in Piscataquis County at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, as part of the statewide Democratic Caucus.The alternate storm date is March 13. People who are eligible to vote in Maine and are 18 years old by Nov. 8 can participate in their town caucus. Registrars from each town will be available to register new or unenrolled voters 12:30-1:30 p.m. Absentee ballots are available at mainedems.org or by calling the Maine Democratic Party at 622-6233.At the three regional caucuses, each community attending will elect town committee officers, representatives to the Piscataquis County Committee and delegates to the State Democratic Convention to be held May 6-7, in PortlandThe towns of Abbot, Beaver Cove, Blanchard, Elliotsville, Greenville, Greenville Junction, Kingsbury Plantation, Monson, Shirley, Wellington and Willimantic will caucus at the Greenville Town Office.The towns of Atkinson, Bowerbank, Dover-Foxcroft, Guilford, Parkman, Sangerville and Sebec will caucus at the Morton Avenue Municipal Building in Dover-Foxcroft.The towns of Milo, Orneville Township, Brownville, Brownville Junction, Williamsburg Township, Barnard Township, Ebeeme Township, Wels T1R9, Wels Township T10R15, Medford and Lake View Plantation will caucus at Milo Town Hall.For information, contact Piscataquis County Democratic Committee Chair Carole Boothroyd at 564-0139.
