CARING FOR PAWS

Sandy Smart, left, of the Penquis Animal Welfare Sanctuary (PAWS) received a donation from Maine Highlands Federal Credit Union-Brownville employee Amanda Heath. PAWS, located in Milo, was chosen as a recipient of the credit union’s Caring for Community donation.

Employees from all branches pay $3 each to dress casual twice a week, and proceeds benefit a local nonprofit.
