Natural resource exploration at the STEM Guide Hub’s SeDoMoCha Science Club

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District (PCSWCD) presented on watersheds at the inaugural meeting of the STEM Science Club on Dec. 9. This club for middle schoolers at SeDoMoCha Middle School is organized and presented by the Dexter, Dover, Guilford STEM Guide Hub.

The PCSWCD brought in a working watershed model for the students to study and learn about the importance of watersheds. The students also worked to build a watershed model, discuss watershed pollutants and to create and discuss solutions to pollutant runoff.
