Boyer continues football career at Bates

LEWISTON — Peter Boyer, a resident of Dover-Foxcroft and a 2015 graduate of Foxcroft Academy, was a freshman running back on the Bates College football this past season.

Boyer appeared in four games for the Bobcats. He carried the ball 10 times for 43 yards and one touchdown. The touchdown came on a 1-yard run in Bates’ 31-0 victory vs. in-state rival Bowdoin College of Brunswick.

The Bobcats finished 2015 with a record of 2-6, with the two victories coming against Bowdoin and Colby College of Waterville (by a score of 10-9). The two wins gave Boyer and his teammates the 2015 CBB title, Bates’ second in a row and third in four years.
