BOUTILIER, Carl Henry, Jr., 77, Sangerville, at Bangor, October 28, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 7, at the funeral home. Arrangements are in the care of Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Guilford.

PO CarlBoutilierJrOBSANGERVILLE – Carl Henry Boutilier Jr., 77, better known to family and friends as “Pete,” passed away peaceful- ly at EMMC in Bangor on October 28, 2015, with his wife at his side. He was born in Abbot, July 30, 1938, the son of Abbie (Buzzell) and Carl H. Boutilier.

Pete worked several jobs in his lifetime. He was a meat cutter, a machinist, and later a caregiver at the Kingsbury Road Group Home, where he was known as “Pete the man.” He also helped his son, Michael in Deer Isle, where he met and enjoyed time with many island folks. Pete was a Past Master of Abner Wade Masonic Lodge #207 AF & AM of Sangerville; a member of the Sangerville Fire Department for 45 years, where he served as secretary and treasurer for 25 years; a past patron of Almeda Chapter #149 OES; past member of Anah Shrine; a member of the Highlanders Bagpipe band; selectman for the town of Sangerville; and a past president of the Piscataquis Valley Fair.

A big highlight of his life was spending time with his grandchildren, and vacation- ing in New Hampshire and Florida.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jane (Pullen) Boutilier of Sangerville; two sons, Michael Boutilier and his wife, Patricia of Sunset, and Marc Boutilier and his fiancée, Mary West of Sanger-ville; three grandchildren, Douglas and Sarah of Sunset, and Katie of Sangerville; a sister, Patricia Drummond and her husband, Malcolm of Abbot; a brother-in- law, John Pullen and his wife, Wendy of Monson; two sisters- in-law, Elizabeth Curtis and her husband, Allen of Readfield and JudithPullenofVernon,CT.

Pete was predeceased by his parents; three brothers, Henry, Otis and Donald; and a daughter.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak Street in Guilford. Following the memorial service, a time of celebration of Pete’s life will be held at Mt. Kineo Masonic Lodge in Guilford, where refreshments will be served.
