The No. 1 Tigers won the rubber match between the two neighboring rivals, 3-0, to advance to the regional championship against second seed Maine Central Institute — scheduled for Tuesday at Thomas College in Waterville.

Dexter advanced to the regional final for the eighth time in the last nine seasons, and for the No. 4 Pirates the semifinal berth was the first for the program since 2006.
