Garden Club honored

DEXTER — The Ridge View Community School has a garden club that took home first place for their beans and a second-place award for their garlic from the Common Ground Fair. The RVCS Garden Club is run by Erica Rudloff, parent volunteer, and students from grades5-8 . RVCS has had a school garden for three years through the support of fundraising and donations.

GROWING SOME PRIZESThe Ridge View Community School Garden Club earned two prizes, for beans and garlic at the Common Ground Fair in Unity. The garden club is a organization that runs in the fall, summer and spring. Club members come during the summer to help weed the garden.Once a year they have a dinner for parents and members where they take the locally grown food from the garden and enjoy a meal. Garden club is for kids and parents who want to improve their gardening skills. So, when you see a person you know that does garden club congratulate them on their win for first and second place!
