PVC golf results

LINCOLN — The area’s golf teams were in action at the Penobscot Valley Conference Championship on Oct. 2 at the Jato Highlands Golf Course.

In the Class B competition, Foxcroft Academy finished fourth of seven teams with a score of 399.

Akira Tanabe led the Ponies with a score of 92, followed by Racquel Bozzelli at 99, Henry Chase at 103, Caleb Buerger at 104 and Sam Libby at 105. Bozzelli qualified for the girls’ state individual championship scheduled for Oct. 17 in Vassalboro.

In Class C, Greenville High School placed fifth out of eight teams.

Alec Oeschlegal led the Lakers with a score of 101. Next was Nick Foley at 103, followed by Connor DiAngelo at 112 and then Keegan Cannell at 117.

Dexter Regional High School finished eighth among the Class C schools with a score of 445.

Yo Yo Wu led the Tigers with a score of 90 to qualify for the state competition. Next for Dexter was Matt Hanscome with a 110, followed by Matt Sickles’ 116 and 129 for John Lane.

Dylan Nickerson and Chris Johnson represented Penquis Valley High School at the conference finals. Nickerson shot a 93 and Johnson’s score was 118.
