PREPARED FOR A CRUISE ON THE KATAHDIN — More than 200 Boy Scouts of America and their leaders from the Katahdin Area Council descended on Greenville Sunday for the grand finale of their weekend camporee, hosted this year by local BSA Troop 120 and the Penquis district. Gathering in the Moosehead Marine Museum parking lot, the Scouts were treated to an hour-long cruise of Moosehead Lake aboard the Steamship Katahdin, thanks to generous donations from two Greenville banks. A story and more photos will appear in next week’s edition.
