‘Civil War Soldiers from Blanchard’

BLANCHARD — The Blanchard Preservation Society will have a potluck supper and program on “Civil War Soldiers from Blanchard” Friday, Sept. 11 at 5 p.m.  at The Meeting House at the crossroad.

The program will be presented by Wayne and Tootie Bennett, members of the local camps of the Sons and Daughters of the GAR (Grand Army of the Republic), who have taken part in Civil War encampments  and historic programs on the Civil War. This year marks the 200th anniversary of the end of the war.  

 

The supper and program are open to the public. Please bring a dish to share. Any questions, please call Ann Beach at 876-3614.
