Foxcroft youth track athletes compete at States
BREWER — Several members of the Foxcroft Youth Sports track and field team took part in the Maine Association USA Track and Field Junior Olympic State Championship on Aug. 8 at the Brewer Community School.
In the girls 8 and under 800-meter race walk, Emma McGary finished 10th with a time of 6 minutes, 26.70 seconds.
Rabecca Thomas placed 13th in the age 11-12 long jump at a distance of 10 feet, 9.50 inches.
Laney McGary was 17th in the age 9-10 javelin with a top throw of 35-00.

In the boys’ meet, Henry Kreider threw in both the age 11-12 discus and shot put. Kreider’s throw of 51-10 was good for 10th place in the discus and he came in 17th in the shot put at 21-00.
