   GUILFORD — Friends of Community Fitness held its 10th annual Fitness 5K, as part of the Piscataquis River Festival, on the morning of July 25 with the following results: 1. Zach Doore, age 13, 21 minutes, 15 seconds; 2. David Doore 43 21:16; 3. John Conner 45 21:19; 4. Stefan Kitabjiu 15 22:47; 5. Amalia Harrington 27 23:11; 6. John Lemieux 70 23:21; 7. Isaac Wakefield 18 24:01; 8. Isaac Doore 10 24:36; 9. Trisha Moulton 46 25:40; 10. Robert Harrington 33 27:10;

11. Miles Lemieux 74 29:07; 12. Joanna Smith 36 29:08; 13. Stephanie White 32 30:10; 14. Erica Peterson 26 30:58; 15. Steve Waterman 48 31:08; 16. Brad Deane 62 32:03; 17. Donna Peterson 55 32:45; 18. Jessica Willis 38 36:53; 19. Courtney Waterman 21 37:36; 20. Janice Rockwell 72 50:16.

First-place overall and men’s: Zach Doore.

First-place women’s: Harrington.

First-place women’s 20-29: Harrington; second: Peterson; third: Waterman.

First-place men’s 30-39: Harrington.

First-place women’s 30-39: Smith; second: White; third: Willis.

First-place men’s 40-49: Doore; second: Conner; third:Waterman.

First-place women’s 40-49: Moulton.

First-place women’s 50-59: Peterson.

First-place men’s 60-plus: John Lemieux; second: Miles Lemieux.

First-place women’s 60-plus: Rockwell.

Kids Fun Run: first-place boys Brady Gaw; second: Ben Higgins; third: Noah Kain.

First-place girls: Kamryn Merrill; second: Braylyn Gaw; third: Jessica Mayberry.

FIT TO RUN A 5K — The entrants in Friends of Community Fitness’ 10th annual Fitness 5K take off from the starting line during the July 25 road race, held as part of the Piscataquis River Festival. This year’s race had 20 participants, with another nine youngsters taking part in the kids fun run on the Guilford Memorial River Walk.

ALL IN THE FAMILY  — Zach Doore and his father David Doore were first and second respectively in the Friends of Community Fitness Fitness 5K on July 25 in Guilford, at 21:15 and 21:16. Younger brother and son Isaac Doore came in eighth in the field of 20.

OFF THEY GO — Nine young runners took part in Friends of Community Fitness’ Kids Fun Run on the morning of July 25 to kick off the Piscataquis River Festival. The kids ran down and back along the Guilford Memorial River Walk, dodging puddles and each other.

RACE TO THE FINISH LINE — Brady Gaw and Ben Higgins near the end of the Kids Fun Run on July 25 in Guilford, the two finished first and second respectively.

ROUNDING OUT THE TOP FOUR  — Noah Kain and Kamryn Merrill were third and fourth in Friends of Community Fitness’ Kids Fun during Saturday’s Piscataquis River Festival, with Merrill finishing as the girls’ winner.
