Chamber ribbon cutting at The Mill Inn and Cafe Aug. 1

DOVER-FOXCROFT — On Saturday, Aug. 1, a ribbon cutting will be performed by the Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the completion of the mill apartments, offices and common patio and to welcome The Mill Inn & Cafe  on the first day in business. The event will begin in the cafe at 10:30 a.m.

The day will also provide an opportunity for guests to walk through the  six-room boutique hotel and cafe and hear a brief presentation about the project and those who were involved in making it a reality. The tour will also include the event center, remaining (available) office space and one apartment.

Guests should park in the lot of the Dover Foxcroft Congregational Church, and should enter through the front brick building at 5 East Main. The cafe, office spaces and apartments are handicap accessible.

The Mill Inn & Cafe is a six-room boutique inn and Internet cafe serving breakfast, coffee, tea, baked goods and healthy snacks. Of the six rooms,  five have a king-size bed and one has two queen beds. All rooms come standard with Internet, television and private bath.
