DOVER-FOXCROFT – A highly decorated Air Force retiree left Dover-Foxcroft after completing his final tour of duty on June 26, 2015. Born January 10, 1930, Herman Miller spent his youth working in the Maine woods. His military career as a Security Policeman included many special duties such as Office of Special Investigations Agent, Sky Marshall, Ranger, Drill Instructor, Linguist and Paratrooper. His sense of duty and patriotism led him to vol-unteer for three combat tours in Vietnam. Upon retirement, he returned with his family to Dover-Foxcroft and his first love, the Maine woods. A self-taught guitar, banjo and key-board player, he enjoyed shar-ing music and his many life adventures through stories.

His only son, Victor, passed before him. He leaves seven grandchil-dren; numerous great-grand-children; and three daughters.

His wish to leave without ceremony will be honored. No funeral services will be held, he will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery.
