PVC Class C honorees

The Penobscot Valley Conference (PVC) honored area Class C softball and baseball players with postseason accolades.

The softball First Team honorees include third baseman Peyton Watson of Dexter Regional High School and Piscataquis Community High School outfielder Alex Speed.

Named to the Second Team was Macie Melvin of Dexter at second base; Dexter’s Michaela White at shortstop; PCHS designated hitter Courtney Dean; Christie Nicholas of Dexter as a utility player; and pitchers Abbey Jordan and Jewel Lamb of Dexter and PCHS respectively.

On the baseball diamond, Dexter’s Brandon Young was chosen for the PVC Second Team as a pitcher. Nate Burns of PCHS was an honorable mention choice.

Rachael Baker of Penquis Valley High School was an All-Academic Team selection for baseball. Baker played baseball with Penquis not fielding a softball team.
