Small business assistance forum in Greenville June 25

GREENVILLE — There will be a small business assistance forum at the Greenville municipal building on Thursday, June 25 starting at 5:30 p.m. featuring James Pineau of the U.S. Small Business Administration and Chris Winstead of the Piscataquis County Economic Development Council.

They will present details about business planning assistance, access to capital for small businesses (grants and loans) and help navigate the “alphabet soup” of entities.

The forum is designed to assist those planning to open a small business or entrepreneurs who want to expand.

A representative from the Bangor office of the Small Business Development Center, which helps individuals with business planning, will also be at the forum along with several commercial lenders.

The plan is to work through a series of short presentations, and then provide time for networking.

The forum is co-sponsored by the Moosehead Lake Region Chamber of Commerce and is open to the public.

To register, contact Jim Pineau of the Small Business Administration at 945-2021 or James.Pineau@sba.gov.

Refreshments will be provided, courtesy of the town of Greenville.

For more information, contact Pineau or Greenville Town Manager John Simko at John@GreenvilleME.com
