Albert H. Frost
FROST, Albert H., 96, New Jersey and Maine, at New Jersey, May 29, 2015.
NEW JERSEY & MAINE – Albert H. Frost, 96, a gradu-ate of Corinna Union Academy (with honors) in 1936 was a former resident of the area. He and his family, the Winfield Frosts, farm and potato shipping folks made their home in Corinna and Dexter. Albert was from a long line of “Mainers”, starting with George Frost, who, although he was born in England about 1600, had his domicile in Maine (then Massachusetts) thereafter. Albert was the tenth genera-tion from George, of Maine men, who were born and bred in the state. Al was born in Dexter, on May 30, 1918. He died on May 29, 2015 (one day shy of his 97th birthday).
Albert attended the University of Maine and grad-uated in 1941. At that time, during WWII, he was recruit-ed by the War industries which were headquarted in New Jersey. He began employment in New Jersey and was followed there by his first wife Charlotte B. Lunt of Dover-Foxcroft. They were soon married and had two children: Sandra and Gregory.
Many years ago, Albert took an “alter call” at the Dover-Foxcroft United Methodist Church and was thus a fol-lower of Jesus Christ.
Though Albert and his fam-ily remained residents of New Jersey, they took many visits to and vacations in his beloved MAINE. In the words of the University of Maine “Stein Song”…”LET EVERY LOYAL MAN SING” to the glory of wonderful, beautiful Maine and in honor of a loyal and good “son of Maine”.
