All-conference track honorees

A number of area athletes were named to the Penobscot Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Small School All-Conference Team.

Girls Second Team honorees include Fern Morrison of Foxcroft Academy in both the 400 and 800, and Jordan Durant of Penquis Valley High School in the triple jump.

Foxcroft’s Hunter Smith was named to the Boys First Team in the 110 and 300 hurdles and the high jump and long jump. Valentin Nekrasov of Dexter Regional High School was a First Team selection in the 200. The Foxcroft 4×100 relay squad, Jason Eubanks, Julian Zepeda, Sebastian Zepeda and Dylan Richards, earned First Team honors as well.

The Second Team includes Julian Zepeda and Nekrasov in the 100 and Sebastian Zepeda in the 200, as well as the Foxcroft (Julian Zepeda, Justin Diamond, Cooper Nelson and Jason Eubanks) and Dexter (Brandon Allen, Tyler Beem, Zachary Caron and Nekrasov) 4×400 relay squads.

Caron was a Second Team pick in both the high and triple jumps. Peter Boyer of Foxcroft was a Second Team selection in the discus, javelin and shot put. Penquis’ Joshua Martin received Second Team honors in the javelin.
