DOVER-FOXCROFT –Grace E. Nicholas, 77, wife of the late Eugene Nicholas Sr., passed away June 6, 2015, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born February 19, 1938, in Newburg, the daughter of John and Blanche (Rolfe) Leavitt.

Grace was a retired CNA and MHW. She attended the Assembly of God Church in Dover-Foxcroft, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and assistant leader of the Missionettes. She was active with many of her children’s activities, including Cub Scout den leader, Brownie leader, and member of Foxcroft Academy Music Boosters.She is survived by four sons, Eugene Jr. of Massachusetts, David and his wife, Lauri of Howland, Paul of Bangor, and Steve and his wife, Julie of Garland; two daughters, Annette Reed and her husband, Jim of Bangor, and Karen Wheeler of Ogden, UT; a brother, John Leavitt of Dover-Foxcroft; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Wanda Mitchell.
