May we forever remember

By Congressman Bruce Poliquin

(R-Maine)

This past Monday, with deep gratitude, we remembered the brave men and women in uniform who made the ultimate sacrifice for our great Country.

With more than 100,000 veterans who call Maine home, we rise and honor the heroes who answered the ultimate call of duty to protect our freedoms.

Each year, we set aside the final Monday of May as a day to honor and immortalize those we have lost. We observe Memorial Day as a reminder of our daily thankfulness for the selfless bravery and unrelenting patriotism of past and present service members. Their actions will never be forgotten.

I’m very proud of my nephew, Thomas, who serves in the Army. I join my fellow Mainers and folks around the country in thanking our members of the military who serve alongside him for their courage and dedication to the United States.

Please join me in honoring our past and present military service members. May we forever remember the heroes that laid down their lives to protect and serve the Great State of Maine and the United States of America.
