The announcement was made last week by Bishop Robert Deeley of the Archdiocese of Portland and the reassignment becomes effective June 1.
Dube succeeds Rev. Joseph W. Cahill, who resigned in February. Since then, Rev. Robert Gaudreau has served as temporary parochial vicar of the parishes.
Rev. Dube was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Richard J. Malone on May 26, 2012 at Holy Family Church in Lewiston.
From June 2012 to July 2014, he served as parochial vicar at the Parish of the Precious Blood in Caribou.
In July of 2014, he was appointed temporary parochial vicar at All Saints Parish in Brunswick.
Since last October, Rev. Dube has served as parochial vicar at Stella Maris Parish in Bucksport, St. Joseph Parish in Ellsworth, and the Parish of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Bar Harbor.
Prior to his ordination, he served for 35 years as a brother in the Catholic religious order of the Salesians of St. John Bosco in New York.
