Mother, daughter receive degrees

   BANGOR — Tracey Arno and her daughter Mariah both received their master’s degrees during Husson University’s 116th graduation ceremony on May 10.
   Mariah Arno received her degree in occupational therapy. She graduated from this five-year program with an overall GPA of 3.79. She is currently finishing her last clinical placement at the Blue Hill Memorial Hospital in both inpatient and outpatient therapy. Arno will take her state boards later this summer.

    BIG DAY FOR THE FAMILY — Mother and daughter Tracy, right, and Mariah Arno both received their master’s degrees from Husson University in Bangor during graduation on May 10. The younger Arno received her degree in occupational therapy and Tracy Arno’s degree is in nursing education.

   Tracy Arno originally graduated from Husson College in 1988 with her bachelor’s degree in nursing. She spent the majority of her career in critical care nursing before returning back to Husson University in 2008 to work in education. Arno is currently employed full-time at Husson as the coordinator of nursing simulation and learning resources. She also stays clinically active as a critical care nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bangor. Arno completed her studies in nursing education and received her master’s degree on May 10.
   Arno is married to Peter Arno and they reside in Dover-Foxcroft with both their daughters, Mariah and Lindsey.
