PRYMCA seeks new director

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Piscataquis Regional YMCA recently announced the opening of the search for a new CEO.
The position became vacant last month when Deb Boyd took over as executive director at the Old Town Orono YMCA. Boyd came to the Y from the Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce where she had served as executive director for 2.5 years. During her three-year tenure at the PRYMCA, Boyd led the organization to a much more stable position.

“Its no secret that the Y was going through challenging times,” said Nancy Seavey, the Y’s interim executive director, “and while we still struggle financially we are in a much better place thanks to Deb’s tireless efforts.”
The job search for the Y’s new CEO is happening both locally and at the national level. The posting and application process is being coordinated through Y-USA, according to Seavey. “As a YMCA we have access to world-class support and advice as we begin our search. While we are looking in our region, Y-USA can cast a wide net around the country and around the world for the right person.”
Seavey states that applications will be accepted through April 30 with a goal of having the new CEO on board by mid-July. The full details of the posting and job requirements can be found at www.prymca.org and clicking on the link.
The PRYMCA is a cause-driven organization that is committed to the community and dedicated to promoting healthy spirit, mind, and body for all, through programs and services grounded in Christian heritage and the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
