Keith Harvey Hodsdon

HODSDON, Keith Harvey, 86, Dover-Foxcroft, February 24, 2015. A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Andover, ME, on June 6, 2015, at 1 p.m., with a reception at the First Congregational Church in Andover.

    DOVER-FOXCROFT – Keith Harvey Hodsdon, 86, died peacefully with his family by his side on February 24, 2015, at the Mayo Regional Hospital. Keith was born in 1928 in Lynn, MA, the son of Harold and Millie Hodsdon of Andover, ME.
    A jack of all trades, Keith was always busy on the family dairy, beef cattle, and vegetable farms, ski areas, sporting camps or playing musical instruments. His quiet presence, gentle wisdom and fatherly guidance have impacted generations of young people who are following in his footsteps. In his words, “Work hard, be honest, set a goal and find a way to do it. Don’t quit.”
    Keith was predeceased by his daugher, Allyson Hodsdon; his wife, Shirley Foote Hodsdon; his son, Joel Hodsdon; his grandson, Stephen Bowers; his daughter-in-law, Patricia Byam; and his brother, Ray Hodsdon of Charlottesville, VA.
    He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Norma Hodsdon; his children: Brenda and Bob Giles of Morriston, FL, Jeffrey and Rachel Hodsdon of East Wilton, ME, Timothy Hodsdon and David Sanders of Denver, Colorado, Wayne and Nanon Foote of Bangor, ME, and Gary and CJ Foote of Tamworth, NH; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He is aslo survived by Norma’s children: Robyn and Percy McInnis of Bryant Pond, Susan and Louis Dickson of Dresden, Tim Byam of Mahopac, NY, Benjamin and Samantha Byam of Rumford Point, Barbara and Scott Raymond of Parkman, and Jennifer and Robert Mains of Westbrook; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
    A graveside service for Keith will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Andover, ME, on June 6, 2015, at 1 p.m., in conjunction with his brother Ray’s service with a reception at the First Congregational Church in Andover.
