DOVER-FOXCROFT – Leonel J. Faucher, 90, husband of the late Alma (Gagné) Faucher, passed away March 5, 2015, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. He was born April 28, 1924, in St. Zacharie, Québec, the son of the late Théophile (Trefflé) Faucher and the late Marie-Anna Dubois. Leonel had worked as a lumberjack for many years.
He leaves in mourning his son, Dennis Faucher and his wife, Neila. He also leaves brothers and sisters, Thérèse (the late Armand Guay), Annette (the late Paul-Eugene Grenier and Benoît Gagné), Laurette (the late Cyril Turgeon), Albert and his wife, Cécile Turgeon, Jeannine and her husband, Urbain Labbé, Antoinette (her late husband, Benoît Gagné), Anna (Noëlline) and her late husband, Laval Lapointe, Roland and his wife, Gaetane Vachon, and Lise and her husband, Jean-Luc Faucher. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Maryann Faucher and her friend (Carl Hartung); and his great-granddaughter, Marie Hartung. He also leaves many nieces and nephews, cousins, an aunt and uncle, and friends.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Jocelyn (husband Phil Moore); by his brothers and sisters, Joseph, his wife, Albertine Paquet, Arthur, his wife, Jeanne Chrétien, Estelle and her late husband, Victor-Emmanuel Breton, Marcel, Louisette and her late husband, Yvan Cloutier, Antoine and his late wife, Yvette Turgeon, Gisèle, Marcel, his wife, Irène Gosselin, and Gilles, his wife, Lise Lavallée.
Friends were invited to call 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 11, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Dover-Foxcroft, with Rev. Robert Gaudreau officiating.
