‘Jungle Book’ children’s auditions this weekend
DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Center Theatre and Slightly Off-Center Players will be holding auditions this weekend for a children’s production of “The Jungle Book” being presented in April and directed by Bobby Keniston.
The auditions will be held at the Center Theatre on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. and Sunday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. The cast can accommodate children of all ages and high school students are encouraged to attend along with younger children.
A parent or guardian is also expected to come to auditions. No previous experience or advanced preparation is required. Some singing may be needed for some parts. Anyone interested in auditioning, but unable to attend the auditions should contact the Center Theatre to make other arrangements.
“The Jungle Book”, based on the beloved stories of Rudyard Kipling, will be performed the weekends of April 10 and 17. Anyone interested in working backstage or getting involved in lighting and sound is also encouraged to either come to auditions or contact the Center Theatre. Rehearsals for “The Jungle Book” will begin shortly after the auditions.
