Miles named to NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll
COLCHESTER, Vt. — St. Michael’s College had 215 student-athletes qualify for the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the fall semester, including nine that posted a 4.0 GPA.
Among the Purple Knight student-athletes attaining a perfect GPA was sophomore Monica Miles of Dover-Foxcroft and the St. Michael’s field hockey team. Miles is majoring in biochemistry (pre-med), and she is the daughter of Dr. Ronald Miles Jr. and Katie Miles and is a 2013 graduate of Foxcroft Academy.
St. Michael’s was ninth among the league’s 15 institutions in total honorees, but fourth by having 67 percent of its NE-10 student-athletes land on the Commissioner’s Honor Roll. Student-athletes that earn a minimum 3.0 GPA during a given semester are eligible for the accolade. Eighteen of the Purple Knights’ squads compete in the NE-10.
The field hockey team topped St. Michael’s with 24 honorees. Two of Miles’ teammates also attained a GPA of 4.0, which matched the total of women’s cross country for the highest number per team at the college.
