With the narrowest of finishes, the Dexter Regional High School cheering team held off Bucksport High School to win the Eastern Maine Class C cheering championship — the team’s third in the last four years — on Jan. 24 at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. The performance will move the Tigers on to the state championship Feb. 7 at the Augusta Civic Center, the Tigers’ fourth consecutive berth in the finals.
