‘Sharpening Small Tools’ set for Jan. 17

DEXTER — Do you have dull small tools that need sharpening? On Saturday, Jan. 17 the Dexter Dover Area Towns in Transition (DDATT) and the Abbott Memorial Library are co-sponsoring a “Sharpening Small Tools” event.

Participants are encouraged to bring their dull tools: scissors, chisels, knives, planes, etc. to learn how to sharpen these implements. Those familiar with sharpening techniques are encouraged to bring that knowledge to share with others.
A DDATT spokesperson emphasized that this is not a traditional workshop but a sharing event so “bring your dull tools and sharp minds in order to help others learn how to sharpen things!”
The event will be held at the Abbott Memorial Library’s Meeting Room beginning at 10 a.m. For more information contact 277-4221, 924-3836 or info@ddatt.org. Snow date is Jan. 24.
