PCHS senior Alex Speed, keeping the ball away from Washington Academy sophomore River Hodgdon, and her teammates scored a season-high eight goals in the team’s 8-1 Class C East prelim matinee victory on Oct. 25. Speed found the goal five times herself, with her fourth goal being the 80th of her high school career. The No. 6 Pirates will now play at third seed Fort Kent in a quarterfinal set for Oct. 29.
