Ridge View receives ‘Fuel Up to Play’ grant

    DEXTER — Fuel Up To Play is a federally funded program which encourages children of all ages to exercise for at least 60 minutes a day and to make healthier food choices.

FUELING UP TO PLAY — Second grade students participate in the recent Fuel Up To Play field day at the Ridge View Community School in Dexter.

    This year Ridge View Community School in Dexter has received a second year grant of $1,400 to fund the program for students.
    It gives our whole school, K-8, a chance to come together and focus on making healthy choices.
    This program is overseen by Mr. Gudroe, the assistant principal and Mrs. Greaves, the school nurse throughout the school year.
    “This is a very good program for our school system. It keeps our students active and healthy,” said Mrs. Greaves. Activities will be offered throughout the school year to promote making healthy choices.
