Planning to start for Guilford’s bicentennial celebration
GUILFORD — 2016 marks Guilford’s 200th birthday and a full year of events are being planned to celebrate. Organizers are hoping to have all local businesses, churches and organizations coordinate special events so that it is truly a community wide celebration beginning in February and finishing with the 2016 River Festival.
The first meeting will be in the middle of October where organizers begin developing a timeline, themes, event plans, entertainment, contests, etc. If interested in participating in any capacity large or small please consider joining.
