Artist-in-residence joins HJ Crosby Community Band

lo-dexterband-dcX-po-37    DEXTER — The HJ Crosby Community Band is pleased to welcome Liza Patty-Lugo as guest Artist-in-residence. An accomplished tuba player, she comes to the band by way of the University of Colorado at Boulder and the University of Florida at Tallahassee from which she holds master’s degrees in music performance and in music therapy.

Patty-Lugo will be playing with the HJ Crosby Community Band and the Dexter Brass. The band will feature her at the Oktoberfest Polka Party at the Dexter Town Hall on Oct. 19 to include her playing the rather difficult Piccolo solo from Souza’s “Stars and Stripes”.
She is also available to the local communities, schools and colleges for private music lessons, Master Class Level instruction and as a guest clinician. Patty-Lugo can be booked by contacting the Carl R. Cuthbert Community Band Foundation at 924-6235 or emailing drerlord@yahoo.com.
