Community Christmas Concert sign-ups coming next month

    DOVER-FOXCROFT — It may be September, but the Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce and many local churches are already thinking about Christmas.
     With the hope of coming together to begin this year’s Christmas season, all local churches are invited to participate in the Community Christmas Choir Concert on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. in the Foxcroft Academy Gymnasium.

    Each choir director is asked to complete a registration form and submit it by Wednesday, Oct. 15 to Heidi Dow, 344 East Dover Rd., Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426 or via email  to heidi.dow@gmail.com.
    Each individual choir will perform two or three Christmas hymns of their own choosing,  followed by one or two combined choir pieces.  The evening will close with  everyone, including the audience singing “Silent Night.” 
    It is expected that the choirs will vary in size and composition – so whether  yours is large or small, newly formed or you’ve been singing together for years,  all churches are invited to usher in the holiday season with the well-loved carols of  Christmas.  
    Concert admission will be by donation with proceeds benefiting the Piscataquis Santa Project.
