JSI GENEROSITY — JSI recently held the 10th Annual Clayton Johndro Memorial Golf Tournament at the Katahdin Country Club in Milo. The three stepsons of Clayton presented Eben Dewitt of the Three Rivers Kiwanis Club with a check for $21,000, up from last year’s donation of $14,000.  Pictured, from left, are Barry Awalt , Mark Awalt, Eben DeWitt and Terry Awalt.

JSI has donated nearly $67,000 from the proceeds of this tournament to the Kiwanis over the last 5 years.  The JSI golf tournament is by far the Three Rivers Kiwanis largest fundraiser.
Participants of the golf tournament came as far away as Indiana and Virginia with players’ ages varying from 23 to 73.  The rain did not dampen the participants fun time and goodwill as the team sponsored by Volk Packaging won the “A” flight and the JSI-sponsored team won the B flight, with everyone realizing that the real winners were the children of Milo.
JSI wishes to thank Rick Gerrish for the use of the golf course, the Three Rivers Kiwanis Club for providing a meeting place and food for the participates, the many JSI vendors that donated generously, and Jessie Blake and others from JSI, which made the tournament such a huge success.
This year’s donation will help to fund many children’s charities that the Kiwanis supports such as Hooked on Fishing, Secret Santa and reading programs.
