David Dodson and the Lowdown at Wayside Theater

DEXTER — Wayside Theatre presents guitarist David Dodson and the Lowdown on Saturday, July 26 at 7 p.m.  The Lowdown features guitarist John and vocalist Rachel Nicholas with Michael Nickerson on bass.
Dodson writes great songs that run the gamut of American styles – folk, rock, blues, jazz and country – and range from poignant to hilarious.  He has shared the stage with KD Lang, Bill Staines, Ramblin’ Jack Elliot, Gordon Bok, Dougie MacLean, The Persuasions, Greg Brown, Joe Ely, Marcia Ball, Sha Na Na, Chicago and the Flying Burrito Brothers.

John and Rachel Nicholas’ songbook is full of extraordinary original music that speaks to the ordinary heart. Add their songbook to Dodson’s and you have an embarrassment of riches. With the rock-solid Michael Nickerson on bass, John and David on acoustic and electric guitars and the dynamic David-Rachel-John vocal trio, all of their songs come alive.
Wayside Theater is located at 851 North Dexter Road (Route 23) and doors open at 6:30 p.m.
