Foxcroft Academy students excel on National Latin Exam

    DOVER-FOXCROFT — Fourteen Foxcroft Academy students have earned distinction for their performances on the National Latin Exam. Avery Carroll, Bram Dennis, Madison Fadley and Devan Baird received the Cum Laude award; Paul Birtwistle, Jennifer Clawson and Montana Crossman earned the Magna Cum Laude award; and Dexter Canning, Liam Casey, Hannah Fishburn, Caleb Buerger and Sean Cody received the Silver Maxima Cum Laude award.

EXIMIUS LATIN STUDENTS — Foxcroft Academy students recently recognized for their performances on the National Latin Exam were, from left, Liam Casey, Hannah Fishburn, Caleb Buerger, Rose Kreider, Devan Baird, Paul Birtwistle, Bram Dennis, Madison Fadley, Avery Carroll, Dexter Canning, Jennifer Clawson, Latin teacher Peter Hartel and Adam Baird.

    Adam Baird and Rose Kreider stood out amongst the best, earning the Summa Cum Laude (Gold Medal) award and Kreider received a special plaque for notching a perfect score on the exam.
    Students received their awards and medals at the Foxcroft Academy Award Ceremony on June 4. All Latin students were taught by Peter Hartel and Mirna Reyes Henderson, head of the World Languages Department, administered the exam at Foxcroft Academy during the second week of March.
